Following the terrible attack at Manchester Arena on 22nd May, I made the decision to donate all profits from sales of our recently launched Manchester Worker Bee Necklace to the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund that had been set up to support the families of those killed and injured.
Now June has come to an end I am extremely pleased to announce that you have raised a total of £768 with all your orders, which has now been donated to the Red Cross appeal!
Thank you so much to each and every one of you who supported this cause by ordering one (or two or three!) of the Bee necklaces, it was so much more than I ever imagined when I first made the decision to donate my profits.
Despite a lot of late nights at my workbench and stress when I ran out of materials, boxes, envelopes and energy it has been a very humbling experience and I hope the small amount raised will go a little way to help all those affected in the terrible tragedy.
Going forward I am looking to work with another Manchester charity and donate a percentage from each necklace sold and will update the news pages once I have confirmed which one.
